Range	Maine to N. Florida and Gulf of Mexico
Habitat	Coastal and Offshore waters around structure.

One of the best known fish off our coast. Over the past few years sightings of these guys have become more frequent. More prevailent on wrecks rather than ledges they can be found anywhere from 3-43 miles on nearly every wreck. Two wrecks in particular, the Hyde and Markham, have large aggregations during hte summer months. Recently there has been a few resident sand tigers at the Liberty ship that stayed there year round.
